A guide to style and good tailoring

Hi welcome to my own unique perspective on what constitutes style and individualism. The vast majority of the photos are taken using a mobile phone camera and I have no make up on.......

I'm in my late 30's and I'm also a widow which probably explains why I look so god damn hot in black, well that and being an ivory skinned pale red head! It also documents my wardrobe, so many people seem fascinated by my clothes and compliment me for how I look wearing them.

It is one woman's campaign against Jeans, Tracksuits and Ugg Boots!

More importantly it's about altering your view on life and trying to do the right thing even though it isn't always the easiest.

This blog is a story in taking pride in yourself and not letting yourself go, or settling for second best because you know what girls? No one really is better than someone if they don't treat you like a Queen................

Cinders shall go to the masquerade ball

This dress was a birthday present from Jo, I love it. Marv put's a lot of thought into things and as ever there is definite method in her madness.

I adore the idea of Masquerade balls and have always wanted to go to the one in Venice. The idea of dressing up in a ballgown and hiding your face with a beautifully ornate mask appeals to me, it is the enchanting and seductive nature of a baroque party I guess where you are allegedly in cognito. It is a place that fires my imagination.

I dressed up in a masquerade outfit for the Millenium! I wore a green and gold sari with a sash and a mask that had been made from leather and painted.

I might not get to go to a masquerade ball but I can have lots of fun dancing around in this dress imagining myself at Harry' bar, sipping Bellini avoiding Casanova.

I like bright colourful complicated prints. It appeals to my inner programmer, it's the pattern recognition. The print on this dress is so cheerful and bright and has every colour in it. I love the sweetheart neckline and the halterneck and the big twirly skirt just finishes it off. I will say this were it not for Marv I would have never ventured into circle skirts, so it is lovely that this dress has one.
