A guide to style and good tailoring

Hi welcome to my own unique perspective on what constitutes style and individualism. The vast majority of the photos are taken using a mobile phone camera and I have no make up on.......

I'm in my late 30's and I'm also a widow which probably explains why I look so god damn hot in black, well that and being an ivory skinned pale red head! It also documents my wardrobe, so many people seem fascinated by my clothes and compliment me for how I look wearing them.

It is one woman's campaign against Jeans, Tracksuits and Ugg Boots!

More importantly it's about altering your view on life and trying to do the right thing even though it isn't always the easiest.

This blog is a story in taking pride in yourself and not letting yourself go, or settling for second best because you know what girls? No one really is better than someone if they don't treat you like a Queen................

Sasha, the red vixen and an Iron Curtain

In 1946 Winston Churchill delivered his "Sinews of Peace" speech, which contained the phrase - "From Stettin in the Baltic to Trieste in the Adriatic, an iron curtain has descended across the Continent."

It is somewhat ironic that 7 years later Joseph Stalin should pass away on this date too. He had ruled Russia for 29 years and committed atrocities against his people that make Hitler look almost benign. I never cease to be amazed that the "UN / World" seems to think that mass slaughter of your own people entirely acceptable, however we draw the line at you slaughtering others countries people! So a blouse called Sasha and red skirt seemed fitting.

Today's outfit is a 40s/50s cross over it is a beautiful neutral chiffon with a berry print, it has a gorgeous little tie bow at the collar and is fitted to the waist with a blouson effect. It is very feminine, it is the original in power dressing. The skirt is a beautiful shade of red with a modest split in the back. The tailoring of the blouse makes the most of the derriere too. A simple but well tailored skirt and blouse, a timeless classic.
